One to One Mentoring

As a founder, owner, or director of a fashion business, you know that the success of your business depends on your ability to make sound decisions and take decisive action. But deciding on direction, action, and change can be daunting when you are responsible for the business as a whole. That is where Conceptable’s Founder, Owner, or Director Level One-to-One Mentoring program can help.

Our one-to-one mentoring program offers a series of 3, 6, or 12 sessions where you can discuss the topics that you are not 100% sure about with experienced professional mentors and get input or a sounding board from them.

Our goal is to help you leave each session with more confidence in the direction you wish to move in. With over 10 years of experience providing mentoring and coaching to fashion industry professionals alongside our specialist consultancy services, we are well-equipped to support you in making important decisions for your business.

Featured: How we became the Fashion Industries first structured Mentoring provider.

In 2012, we started our structured fashion industry mentoring programmes to add to the services we already offered in consulting. This was initially at the request of a government supported organisation chaired by James Caan. That request quickly made us realise that we had been mentoring founders and senior team members for quite some time, but had not been calling it that.

Since then, we have helped a great variety of businesses of all sizes within fashion, sportswear, jewellery, accessories, and home furnishings by being the strategic mentors to founders, directors, heads of divisions and departments, and senior managers.

The benefits of mentoring are clear very quickly in ways like increased confidence in making decisions, dealing with problems or situations, and, of course, seeing the way to get results.

Situations that mentees face in their day-to-day responsibilities are very different, from a founder who needs a sounding board and some advice to back up plans for expansion, to first-time department heads who want to be able to talk to someone with experience while they find their way and settle into their role.

The great thing about mentoring is that the ideas, conversations, and actions that the mentee comes up with during the sessions don’t just disappear after the session is over. They have an effect that lasts for a long time. Structured mentoring can lead to new confidence and long-term habits that are good for both the mentee and the business.

Our mentors have a wide range of expertise, are good listeners, and are happy to teach. Mentoring is very personal and may revolve around a specific topic, or it may involve a wider range of things, depending on what we have collaboratively decided.

Working on your skills, how you make decisions, and how you see situations is such a great way of developing yourself to be a more valuable asset for your business. By doing the same thing for your key management team members, you can help them see their potential impact better and empower them to help lead your business to a higher level of success.

We invite you to contact us if you would like to use mentoring as a way to improve yourself and your business.
